Accounting Manager – Real Estate
Salary: $80,000 – $110,000

Description:
Amazing opportunity to work for a well-respected regional public accounting firm based in Atlanta, GA. This highly visible position requires interacting closely with partners on delivering innovative real estate accounting strategies.
Primary responsibilities for the role will include:
Hire, train and supervise accounting staff at regional malls, land leases, retail space, etc.
Prepare and distribute monthly financial statements to clients
Prepare annual tenant expense recovery calculations
Prepare annual budgets
Prepare and approve cash transactions and manual billing adjustments
Prepare sales tax returns
Prepare corporate management fee calculations
Prepare client annual audits and preparation of materials submitted to tax advisors
Manage monthly and annual financial close process including review of cash, CAM accruals, and reconciliations, market value adjustments, and client return calculations
Communicate with clients regarding reporting, accounting implications and other issues
Complete fee projections for corporate revenue forecasting
Perform debt compliance calculations for mortgages
Review and approved cash transactions
Qualified Candidates should possess:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or Accounting; CPA strongly preferred
- Minimum of 10+ years of experience in real estate accounting and/or compliance experience in public accounting
- Real Estate industry experience is required
- YARDI Software experience is strongly preferred
- Must have the current CPA license or be eligible to sit for the CPA exam
